I will teach you how to be a unicorn...

It's one thing to know your stuff...it's a whole other thing to be able to teach your stuff to other people in a way that is fun, engaging and memorable.

Most courses and workshops that I attend are good. The person leading it knows their stuff, there's good content, it's good. What I want is to help train and educate facilitators who are AMAZING! Like the rare, mythical unicorn, I want to help others deliver that rare course or workshop that has people raving about it for weeks to come.

At the end of the day we want people to understand what we have taught them and then actually do something with that knowledge. That only happens when people feel inspired by what they have learned.

This course is for you if you want to learn how to design and teach amazing courses and workshops. This course is also approved by BCRPA for the Adult Education course required for TFL applications.

Add a new stream of revenue

Let's face it, we have to make a living

Facilitating courses and workshops is a really rewarding way to add another stream of revenue to your business.

The reality is, if you aren't able to make a living in this business, you won't stay in it long. By adding in another stream of revenue into the mix you're able to strengthen your bottom line.

And, you get to do it while teaching and inspiring other people! It doesn't get much better than that in my books.

You will learn:

Include a list of items to support the central theme of your page. Bulleted lists are a great way to parse information into digestible pieces.

  • How to plan your lessons

  • Strategies to keep your participants engaged

  • How to deal with difficult participants

  • Time management

  • Principles of adult learning

  • How to figure out what to teach

About Your Instructor

Brenda Adams

Brenda earned a bachelor’s degree in kinesiology from Simon Fraser University, which means she spent four (okay, maybe six) years studying the human body and how it functions. She's also a Certified Professional Co-Active Coach (a life coach). And finally, she has her master’s degree in adult education. So her knowledge about the human body, combined with the tools she's acquired as a life coach, and her understanding of how adults learn best, are the reasons why she's the one to learn from. From the experience side of things, Brenda has been a fitness professional for over 23 years. In that time she has had the opportunity to work for provincial fitness organizations, to chair the National Fitness Leadership Alliance and to run one of the largest fitness centres in Canada. She has extensive experience in everything from group fitness classes, to older adults, yoga fitness and almost everything in-between!One of her greatest passions is teaching. She thrives on taking knowledge and making it easy for people to learn, understand and ultimately put into practice.
